Great for big fish

Love fishing with this rod while bringing in lake trout on Jackson lake. It handles controlling them while running or trying to spit out the hook. Definitely would recommend for these monsters

Built for Lakers

Perfect rod for bouncing large tube jigs and bondys in deep water. Lots of backbone but still enough sensitivity to feel everything. Not my first Haat Rod and not my Last.

Yes, thanks for asking.
I set up the rod with a, Abu Garcia c3 bait casting reel with 15# power pro line. Fishing mostly deep water in Lake Huron for Lake trout. Depths anywhere from 40' to 200' and jig heads/buck tails ranging from 3/4oz to 3oz depending on the current. I like the length and stiffness of the rod. One thing that bothers me when jigging is the length of the handle. I have several other rods including custom made ones that all have a bit shorter handles and work well. Maybe rod handle lengths could be an option? Haven't landed many with this rod yet, but over all happy with the performance.
Thanks, Jamie

Big Lake Trout

The perfect rod for 30"+ lake trout. Landed more big fish last season because of it, other rods just could take the fight of the Big Macs. Would definitely recommend.

Laker guys...this is your rod!

Deep water, big baits, hungry lake trout...a stiff rod makes all the difference when ice fishing in those conditions. I have no problem ripping 2 oz spoons, or 7" tube jigs in 100 feet of water with a flick of the wrist with this absolute tank of a rod. Everyone knows how tough it is to bury a hook with a lighter action rod when you're fishing deep; well let me tell ya this thing straight up crosses fish's eyes with zero issue at all depths. I'm actually planning trips around this rod, that's how much fun it is. Fort Peck next winter for some mega lakers, lookout!
