Signature Series 45" Medium Casting Rod
SS45MC
Regular price $129.99You asked for it and we listened, new for 21/22, we have developed a medium power 45" baitcaster for anglers looking to chase trophy fish that refuse to sacrifice sensitivity. Our glass composite blanks offer the same action you've come to expect from Haat rods without sacrificing backbone needed to land those larger fish. The medium power provides toughness while the rods slower action allows the rod to flex under good sized loads to keep trophy and world class fish pinned no matter how big the head shakes or long the runs.

This 45inch medium casting rod is the best Ice rod Ive ever used for big Michigan lake trout. All the guys in my area use 28-38in extra to XX heavy rods, pretty much a broom handle. They laughed when I brought my Haat rod out. Saying things like "it wont handle a big laker, not enough backbone" or "good luck getting a decent hookset with that". All those guys will also say that you only land about 40% of the fish you hook into up here. Needless to say, by the end of that trip I think all those guys would have traded all the gear they had for my Haat rod. My buddy and I both had Haat rods and we didnt lose a single fish we hooked into that trip. Which says a lot because we caught an insane amount of fish. The action of these rods was perfect for those big lake trout head shakes and runs and were able to keep them pinned for the entire fight. The longer handles are very comfortable and great when fighting large fish
I caught my PB lake trout with my Haat rod. 34inches and almost 24 pounds and that 45in medium handled that laker like a champ! Theres not one bad thing I can say about these rods, truly a work of art and the best rods on the market! If you are considering buying a Hatt rod, do it!...You won't be disappointed!
The 45” MH handles fish very nice.
I took it to northern AK.
Sad part is I lost it and going to definitely order me a new one for next year.
Thanks again Haat.
I love all of my 45" HAAT casting rods. I have one of each. The new 45" Medium fills the gap between the ML and MH. Each of them play a role depending on what type of fish I am after. I would say the Medium is my new favorite all around rod!
Love this rod! Sensitive and strong! Construction is top notch. I also have the medium heavy. Absolutely love these rods!
I like this rod a lot I will probably get another one
